The New Avalon AE92000 seires of I/Q data recorders suit a wide range of applications, including SIGINT, EW, Astrophysics; in fact anywhere that reliable and high performance data collection is required.
The recorders can be preconfigured to accept signals on a centre frequency up to 6GHz, with real-time bandwidths up to 1GHz. They contain the digital processing electronics required to store and recover digital data recorded to/from internal (hot-swappable) or external storage. The rear panel allows access to stored data and live data streams via the 10Gb Ethernet port.
The recorder is also able to reconstruct the recorded digital samples and output these in their original analogue form. With the recorder in record or standby modes, the output signal is derived from the record input signal. During playback, the output signal is derived from stored data.
Standard models are available in half- or full-width, rugged 19" enclosures.
Unlike some previous generations of Avalon data recorders, the AE92000-series models record data in a standard computer file format, thereby dramatically simplifying the selection and copying of critical sections of recorded data.
