This new Avalon microwave I/Q recorder is designed to accept an RF input of up to 6GHz.
Bandwidths of up to 500MHz are supported.
The recorder provides real-time spectrum viewing or analysis, as well as long-duration recording onto an internal, fixed or removal disk pack. Data can also be uploaded in real-time to a remote storage system.
Recordings are stored as a series of fixed file-size ‘clusters’, each with a community-standard (Midas Blue) header and may optionally be played back via the I.F. output.
The recorder is supplied with a full-featured stand-alone graphical user interface (GUI) which can be run either on the recorder itself (with attached monitor, mouse, and keyboard), or on a remote laptop/PC (via Ethernet).
The GUI can be compiled to run under most popular operating systems, including Debian, Windows, etc.).
In common with all Avalon recorders, the AE6410-series recorders are designed for a wide range of ‘platform’ applications including, laboratory, mobile, field-portable, surface ships, submarines, and jet/turboprop ‘passenger’ aircraft.
